This is an organization that I volunteer for.  Freedom Excursion’s primary mission is to take the wounded at James Haley VA in Tampa out on the boat for a day of fishing, fun and relaxation.  I am proud to be a part of this group and thought I’d share some of the things I’ve created for them.

Pictures can say a thousand words…but the search engines can’t read those type of words.

As a graphic designer, I tend to get caught up in the art at times, only to suddenly remember that it’s not all about what WE see on the website. It’s also about what Google or Yahoo or whatever other search engine that’s spidering your site is going to see.

Some well thought out chunks of text balanced in with your amazing graphics will help others find your website in the future. Oh, and since we are talking about sticking some text in with your graphics, don’t forget to add some alt and title tags as well. Every little bit helps!

Here is a coffee mug for the son’s of our deployed troops. Ok, so a lot of the sons I know are under 5 but hey…it’s hot chocolate season, right?? LOL And if you are like me, these are the type of thing you end up sticking in the china cabinet as a decoration…just use a sharpie to write when you got it on the bottom and who it was for and it becomes a keepsake for your son that he can show his kids someday.
